Apart from the obvious stress that is associated with the job role of a promoters, it isn't all that bad. Once you're past the months of checking your email inbox and seeing no replies and as soon as contacts start answering phones, the experience has actually been pretty smooth. The calm before the storm? Or could it be possible that I have found a skill that I did not realise that I possessed. I've already met many people who could be of influence to me in the future within the music industry so this is in my opinion, great progress and quite exciting.
Another side project is the re-branding and re-launch of a failed Record Label (Tear It Down Records) which could prove to be of great importance if it is successful. I have been appointed to Distribution, Logistics, Finance & Marketing along with the lovely Ashleigh Black and infamous Chris Duddy. I'm very sure we'll prove to be productive partners in crime!
'Billy Vs Ninja', has arisen from the dead and I have now regained my place as Bassist 5 years on. With the obvious need for a swift name change and a different sound, a now mature group of 20 year olds will embark on a mission to rock. First practice is Thursday from 3pm till 6pm. Pity I've got a broken bass guitar and no callouses anymore :(
Wonder how long it is before the stress hits...
